A dedicated Via Rail stop in Ward 3 means real transit access for residents who rely on public transportation — connecting Bothwell to the broader region and reducing the burden on working commuters.
A Voice for the Average Joe
James's entire campaign is built on one idea: city hall should work for everyone, especially those with lower incomes who are too often ignored. He'll bring conflict resolution, leadership, and plain-spoken advocacy to the council table.

James Plunkett has called Ward 3 Bothwell home for 11 years. James is a Ontario-based Truck Driver and the Green Party Candidate for April 2025.James believes he can be the voice of those that don’t get a voice in the City Hall specifically those with lower incomes.
James Plunkett A 42-year old Bothwell Resident and former AZ truck drivers instructor during the pandemic. James plans to focus on giving a voice to the "average joe" and the voiceless. James primarily grew up in Keswick just north of Toronto. Throughout the years James has taken on many online leadership roles with experience in alliances, recruitment, problem-solving and conflict resolution.
